This is a poster that was hanging on the bulletin board in the hallway outside of my room. Aside from the fact that it's a horribly scanned image it's a really bad advertisement. I look at this flier, see the large paragraphs of type and am totally turned off. It's way too content heavy and the specifics (time, date, location) are lost in all of type. The "Learn more" references are all different sizes, and the time is in size 12 font off to the right side of the Light The Night graphic - not readily visible.
The novelty-type font at the top clashes with the sans serif used for the rest of the flier. There is no real gestalt drawing you through the content and the clip art is off putting. Otto's hat is placed too close to the type above him and is bleeding into the words. I think the versatility of the universal type face would have worked well for this ad.
