

This ad for Nike is appealing in the way the alignment of text curves mimics that of the woman's curves in the image to the left. The text of the poem is light with a larger leading while "MY BUTT" and "Just Do It" are brighter and more bold, creating a visual hierarchy. The Nike logo is placed in the lower left hand corner as an exit point for the reader when scanning the page.
The ad for Reebok below is also a good example of hierarchy in that it uses the bright red to draw attention to the punching bag in contrast to the grayish background. The woman is kicking in the direction that points to the Reebok logo, and the spatial arrangement- with the graphic in the middle set against a fairly simple background- also keeps the focus on the image.
