Grids: Emilia Wojdylak

This magazine layout uses grids very strictly and traditionally but organizes the information in a way that is almost like a box collage which is visually interesting. The white space creates white lines that break down and separate the visuals cleanly and neatly. This helps organize the visuals in between the text, emphasizing certain visuals over others. The grid is clean and appears balanced although it is not symmetrical, with more visuals on one side. The grid in this example is simple yet interesting at the same time because of the way it is broken down by the sizing of its images. On a side note, I like the repetition of the typeface the article features without it being too redundant, especially how it is the background to the layout of the article on top.

  1. Again, it comes out pixelated unless you click on the picture and then it is completely clear. I can't figure out how to fix it.
