Usability: Week Twelve: Alyssa Hillman: Imeem.com

I hope that you can see this but this is my homepage for the website Imeem.com.
For those of you who have never heard of this awesome website, it is a lot like Pandora.com, but you are able to create your own playlists and listen to them whenever as long as you are signed in on your account. Awesome, right?
Well, the only problem I have with the service is that the website is a mess and it is hard to find the songs that you want to put on your personal playlist. Your homepage automatically has a large amount of news articles about new artists as well as clutter about other users. There is little to no white space and no decoration. The whole page consists of lines and boxes demanding your attention with no place to rest your eyes. It is because of this overload and poor usability that Imeem.com is not getting the large rush of supporters.
A way to improve design would be to brighten up the background with colors as well as limiting the amount of "stuff" on the homepage. It should consist of the user's play lists, the 100 most popular songs, a new artist article and a few advertisements.
I hope that you all go ahead and check out imeem.com and feel free to let me know what you think!
