I found this spread from Alaska magazine. I think it uses good grid because the kite leads the eye from the left page to the right, and it uses a lot of empty space which I like. I also like how the the main pieces of the layout form a Z- from "Outdoors" to the kite, then to the man and over to "Go Fly a Kite" on the lower right page.
