Week 14- Wrap-up Post

This semester in GRA 217, I learned a lot. Learning the programs (InDesign and Illustrator, specifically) was a difficult task that I feel takes a lot longer than a semester to achieve. I feel comfortable using both programs, but I don't feel like I know them to their core. As far as photoshop goes, I wouldn't even credit myself with basic knowledge of the program, there just wasn't enough time.

As far as my designing goes, I feel I have came a long way. I have learned that through intense sketching and planning, creating a design is not as much of a process as I originally envisioned. On my resume project, I spent way more time on the computer than I should have. Had I actually sketched and planned, I could have been much more efficient with my time.

Overall, I feel that GRA 217 was a really important class to take, especially with my major (magazine). I think I can take aspects from the things I have learned in this class and use them in my other classes, which is a really good aspect of this class.
