Coming in as an inexperienced Adobe Creative Suite user was not to my advantage, but I made my way through. I thought I was going to be much better at getting creative than I was. I've now realized that I am much better at appreciating art than I am at creating it. I still have a passion for the creative but I think my creative talents are of much better use on paper. Graphics defiantly showed me that I am much more of a writer than a designer.
But overall I really did appreciate the challenge. I know much more now about Indesign than I did coming in. I knew a little about photoshop and nothing about illustrator; but now I feel I have a relatively good working knowledge of them all.
As for projects, I really liked the resumé project, the stationary design and the poster project. But the magazine project came at me like a curve ball. I had a tough time getting it just the way I wanted it and finding just the right angle to go with for my article. The web project is coming along, so we'll see how it turns out.
All in all, graphics was an experience, challenging but definitely an experience. I would more than likely take it again but I'd would, for sure, do somethings differently.
