Honesty Blog

Overall I was satisfied with the class. I enjoyed the quirky tidbits we were shown in lecture especially. I definitely could tell the Professor Taylor and Paul cared for each student's progress individually and were very available for extra help by offering a lot of office hours and responding to emails promptly. I really appreciated how knowledgeable Professor Taylor was and how precise her critique of our work was, letting me better see what I personally needed to work on. Paul's been very good at keeping everyone up to date and informed and I like your jokes keep them going! The projects were a good variety and I really liked the re-do policy to be able to work on criticisms received. I also found that the criticism for each project when graded was very helpful and honest, and always straight to the point and enlightening. I especially enjoyed the magazine project.

I do wish that larger projects like the magazine and logo project were given more time to be worked on while the resume project for example did not require as much time as was given compared to other projects. I also feel that although lecture was helpful for theory, that there should be more lab time rather than lecture because in something like graphic design the actual practice of it and personal discussion is more helpful in developing the student. I really appreciated how knowledgeable Professor Taylor was and how precise her critique of our work was, letting me better see what I personally needed to work on.
