I really, really like the grid system within Lance Armstrong's site for several reasons.
First, I love the big picture and I think that also shares some hierarchy within the grid. The different grids that I see are the navigational bar, the photo, the rectangle links and then the ad going down horizontally. Vertically speaking, I see a grid system, but it is broken by the photo. Otherwise the nav bar, the bottom rectangle box links and the ad all line up and are apart of the grid system within this website. The usability of the site is easy and efficient. I like how the box is displayed around the Bio or whatever current page you are on.
The pages are easy and simple to navigate with clean, smooth transitions. Overall a great, fun website that serves its purpose.
